Steering Group

The role of the Thames Valley Cancer SCN Steering Group is to facilitate the bringing together of clinicians, professionals, charities and organisations, with the patient’s voice, to deliver programmes of continuous quality improvements encompassing whole pathways of care (from prevention through to end of life care).

The Steering Group provides clinical leadership and advice to support an integrated approach to achieve real change in quality and outcomes of care for patients. It has day-to-day responsibility for the strategic and operational development and delivery of cancer across Thames Valley and reports to the Oversight Group.

The Steering Group meets quarterly and is chaired by the Network Clinical Director, Dr Bernadette Lavery, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust.
