Children’s & Maternity Network

Welcome to the Thames Valley SCN Children & Maternity Network page. The Children and Maternity Network was one of 4 new Networks set up in April 2013. The aim of the Network is to create improvement through clinical leadership, strategic focus and large-scale change and transformation to improve the lives of the women, children, young people and families of Thames Valley. The Network is being developed building on the experience and expertise of the existing groups and stakeholders in the Thames Valley. Our developing Network will consider the evidence base for change and improvement in the Thames Valley, looking at best practice and potential for change and improvement.

We believe it is key to really listen to the stories and experiences of woman and their children, ensuring services are designed and commissioned to meet relevant needs. It is also key to listen to the experiences and feedback of our providers to influence and support the commissioning process.

The first example of engaging with our Network was the Network launch where delegates were given the opportunity to determine the future work programme for the Thames Valley. The evidence base supported what emerged, as did the information from the CCG commissioning plans.

The priorities identified for our Network include the following. Please click on them for further information.

We would love to hear from you if you have any thoughts, comments or feedback on the developing Network.
