Successful Aylesbury Children’s Asthma event – presentations available

Wednesday 19th November, Aylesbury, Children’s Asthma and Respiratory Disease event – led by the SCN’s GP Facilitator, Dr Duncan Keeley (a Thame GP). The event was really successful and well received by an audience of 60 interested GP’s and Practice Nurses.

Presentations by Dr Duncan Keeley, along with Dr Craig MacDonald, Paediatric Respiratory Consultant, Jane Setchell Lead Nurse/Nurse Practitioner Cross Keys Practice /Aylesbury Vale CCG and the SCN’s Clinical Director Children and Maternity, Dr Anne Thomson.

The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of managing childhood asthma and respiratory conditions, and to move towards a common approach to using best practice. An emphasis was also included on increasing the use of Personalised Asthma Action Plans.

Colleagues from Milton Keynes and Slough were in attendance, including the new Milton Keynes GP Facilitator, Dr Jonathan Walter – we look forward to holding a similar events in East Berkshire and Milton Keynes, along with Oxfordshire and West Berkshire.
