Date: Thursday 6th July 2017
Time: 12pm-4:30pm
Venue: Norton Park Sutton Scotney Winchester Hampshire SO21 3NB

The focus for the conference is on:
• Integrating care pathways for high risk young people about whom there are concerns about mental health or neurodevelopmental difficulties.
• Important updates on new developments for practitioners across agencies in the Thames Valley and Wessex Region.

Background
Recently there has been increased emphasis in terms of national policy on the mental health and neurodevelopmental needs of young people who present with high risk behaviours whether they are in contact with or outside the youth justice system. This has resulted in increased funding and commissioning initiatives from NHS England at a variety of different levels ranging from regional/national to more local initiatives.

Aims of the meeting
This meeting is specifically intended to outline these developments and the range of practical projects in the process of implementation to practitioners, commissioners and others involved with high risk/high concern young people in the Thames Valley/Wessex areas.

By the end of the meeting those attending will have a better understanding of national policy and local developments both at a strategic level (via brief keynote presentations from national and local commissioners/clinicians) and at a practice-based level (via workshops delivered by practitioners from a range of settings).

Whilst this initiative involves a health-funded programme it can only work via clear cross-agency collaboration and joint working.

This conference will therefore be of interest to practitioners across agencies (social care, education, youth justice, health and the 3rd sector) within the Thames Valley and Wessex area.
