Clinical Lead, Diabetes
Dr Richard Croft is a GP at Tilehurst Surgery, Reading; he has developed an interest in diabetes in the 15 years he has been working there.
In 2012 he got swept up in the large scale service redesign that took place in the four federated Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) of Berkshire West and have been leading the process since then. He was appointed Diabetes Clinical Lead in the Thames Valley cardiovascular Strategic Clinical Network in 2014 and has been involved in helping other CCG’s bring about redesign of their services.
Richard is an accredited national trainer in care planning and strongly believes that placing this process at the heart of diabetes care will bring about much-needed transformation by engaging and empowering patients.
